Skin Care for Men: Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Exfoliating Liquid

Skin Care for Men: This is my review of Paula’s Choice 2% BHA. It is designed to clear skin by dislodging stubborn blackheads and preventing blemishes. BHA is an inner pore exfoliant that works under the surface of the skin as well as above, it has well-documented anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which make it a very popular ingredient in many skin care products. I have found that this product is very effective against blemishes and absolutely helps clear skin and keep it clear! It is also great to use after shaving because it eliminates ingrown hairs and razor bumps. It is available online at the Paula’s Choice Website, www.paulaschoice.com . Feel free to comment with any questions and I’ll be happy to respond! Thanks Guys!

  10. skipskops says:

@wickidwanda Oh thank you! I wish I understand that about AHA before…..I might have actually picked up that one lol

  11. wickidwanda says:

Daily exfoliation is not necessarily the issue. It is what your skin can withstand and it will let you know! Chemical exfoliants reach deeper (somewhat technically) than physical/manual exfoliating methods. ALL can be irritating depending on your skin’s sensitivity. BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids) are geared more for oily skin as it can break down lipids (oil/black heads etc) where as AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids-glycolic, lactic, malic etc) do NOT. Furthermore, AHAs are hydration binders.

  12. wickidwanda says:

@skipskops I use this EVERY day @ night only. Actually, I use a stronger version of this called “CLEAR Extra Strength Targeted Acne Relief Toner 2% Salicylic Acid”. I’ve used what Ross uses (regular strengh) and it cleared my black heads. I’ve been using the CLEAR X-tra stength for 4 months now and my results are beyond words. I use it @ night because it leaves a sticky residue. I chemically exfoliate every day and manually exfoliate every day as well (I use the Nutrisonic sensitive brush head).

  13. skipskops says:

I got a question for anyone able to answer.

How often am I to use this? I’ve heard that exfoliation is bad everyday. However this isn’t using anything physical to scrape away at it…..also if that’s the case, do I use this WITH my cleanser or intertwine them? I am lost :( skin care is hardz.

    sooo.. r u like gay?

  19. sj1605 says:

can u tell me how the product was sealed when u got it? I got mine and it did not hv a seal on the inside. It only had a seal on the outside with just a small sticker over the cap and the bottle.

  20. babodesires says:

since it is an exfoliating liquid, does that mean I can skip using a toner (from another brand that i’m using) since this is considered a toner as well?

  21. scarletortiz81 says:

    OMG..you review is awesome!!!! useful..

  22. JieHongChen says:

  23. loobsy1 says:

  25. Dottilicious says:

@brussels73 I’m also very curious about this :)

  26. EvangelineMBourne says:

@dsv714 toner is important! I cleanse my face only at night, but tone morning and night. it helps your products penetrate and balances your skins PH

  43. hollenbubble says:

‘Dissolves the glue that holds any cells on.’
ANY cells? What is this, some sort of flesh-eating skincare range?

  44. desmoil says:

A toner is bad for your skin?? It`s the first time I hear that…I thought it`s good for neutralising the skin after cleansing….It is just said this way all the time when reading about skin care.

  45. kathryn120 says:

I agree. Putting a toner on is just adding more chemicals. I think all the products people use cause more harm than good. JMO

  46. ilargitxo2 says:

nobody will call gina, poor woman.

  47. dsv714 says:

Toners are critical to your skin care routine… if your job is selling toner ;-)

  48. JulieLovesOTH says:
