How to Detangle Natural Hair Without Breakage

Happy Valentines Day Everyone! Today I wanted to share how detangle my hair. So far so good with this method. Detangling is a lot easier and not as dreaded as it used to be. I get minimal shedding when i use this method, although the hair will shed some which is natural. I also find that I have little to no breakage when I take my time and detangle using this method. If your hair is damaged or brittle you may want to try a protien treatment or use some coconut oil to help strenghten it. If you have any tips on detangling please share or post a video response. Everybody’s got their own way. I just thought I’d share mine. Enjoy your day and I’ll see you soon! BTW That’s not dirt on the comb just conditioner from my daughters detangling. I promise. lol xoxoxo, Rachelle borderhammer@twitter.com facebook.com/borderhammer borderhammer@yahoo.com

I need to try thins I have alot of breakage and I don’t know if it is from my transitioning or just brittle hair :/

@meyimani7 Yes I washed it with braids/twists in it. (4) It works fine. When it’s time to condition I’ve found it’s easier to take the twists a loose to prevent (my hair) from tangling at the ends. My hair is on the fine side so it tangles very easily. You may not need to do that. I hope that helps and you’re welcome!

Rachelle great tutorial. I’ve love all of your tutorials that I viewed. Yes, I’ve watched alot of them. Some several times. In this one you said, “you detangled, braided your hair and washed it.” Did you wash your hair with it braided? I want to try this out. Thanks in advance.

Hey Rachelle! I just found your channel from stylehaul! You are so funny and gorgeous! I have curly hair as well but mine is looser and i have the same problem where the bottom layer of my hair is thinner than the top do you ever find that your bottom layer of hair is much longer? I don’t know why but my hair will sometimes do that and it will also sometimes get shorter, do you know why that might be? Thank you for the tips, I’m definitely trying this!

BTW. Can you use oil instead of conditioner. I use a cinnamon oil as a prepoo before wash and i was wondering if i can use that as a substitute for conditioner after detangling?

  19. Ifygurl says:

omg. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TEACHING THIS. My hair gets tangled up also especially at the back just like yours. There’s alway that little ball of hair that won’t let go, I used just cut the balls out but I’m so glad you showed your way of dealing with it. Thank you.
